The fine print, in plain words

What I collect
If you send an enquiry through the contact form, I receive what you type: your name, email, phone number if you add it, the service you're after, your timeframe, and your message. That's it — there are no accounts, no sign-ups, and nothing is sold to anyone.
How your enquiry travels
The form is delivered to my inbox by FormSubmit, a form-delivery service hosted in the United States. It passes your message through to me by email and sends you a short confirmation reply. I keep enquiries in my email for as long as I need them to reply and plan your shoot.
The We Rise raffle
If you enter the raffle at allyjanamarie.com/win, I receive your name, business, email and mobile. Entries are stored in a database hosted by Supabase in Sydney, Australia, and a copy of each entry is emailed to me through FormSubmit, the same service that delivers the contact form. I use these details to run the draw and contact the winner and, as set out in the raffle terms, to send follow-up emails about my work. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask me to delete your entry at any time.
Analytics
The site uses PostHog (hosted in the United States) to understand how visitors use the page — things like which sections get read and where people tap "Book a shoot". PostHog may also record how a visit moves around the page. Anything typed into forms is masked before it leaves your browser, and the contact form is excluded from recording entirely — I never see what you typed there through analytics, only through the email you chose to send.
PostHog stores a small amount of data in your browser (similar to cookies) to tell visits apart. The site has no ad trackers and no advertising pixels.
Other services the site relies on
- Vercel hosts the website and, like any web host, sees standard technical logs (IP address, browser type).
- Google Fonts serves the site's typefaces, so your browser requests font files from Google.
Photos from shoots
Photographs of clients only appear on this site with permission. If a photo of you appears here and you'd like it taken down, email me and it will be removed.
Your choices
Want to know what I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted? Email hello@allyjanamarie.com and I'll sort it out. If you're not happy with how I've handled something, you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
